Senior Advocate of Nigeria and prominent bar leader, Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe, SAN, has called for a shift in focus within the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) from rhetoric to tangible results, stressing that true leadership is measured by execution and impact rather than resolutions and promises.

In a statement titled “Action. Execution. Impact.”, Akangbe emphasised that it is time for the Association to embrace a culture of implementation that ensures every policy, resolution, and initiative translates into measurable benefits for its members.

“Talk is easy. Execution is everything. The NBA should be less rhetoric, more results,” Akangbe stated.
“Every policy, every resolution, every promise must translate into tangible impact for our members. Implementation must become a goal and a culture we must build.”

He urged the Association to move from merely making motions and passing resolutions to making real progress, asserting that the true test of leadership lies in what is delivered after decisions are made.

“The real measure of leadership is not the resolutions, but what is delivered afterwards,” he added.
