Former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Lagos Branch, Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe, SAN, FCIArb(UK), has extended warm felicitations to the 57 newly admitted Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs) following their swearing-in ceremony.

In his congratulatory message on Monday, Akangbe described the elevation as a distinction earned through “industry, learning, and integrity,” while reminding the new silks of the solemn responsibility that comes with the honour.
“The silk you wear is more than a mark of rank; it is a pledge to uphold the law without fear or favour, affection or ill-will. The true measure of a Senior Advocate lies not in titles, but in service service to the courts, to the profession, and above all, to the cause of justice,” he stated.
He further urged the new SANs to let their elevation inspire younger lawyers, strengthen the Bar, and advance justice across the nation.
“May your elevation inspire younger lawyers, strengthen the Bar, and advance the cause of justice in our nation. Congratulations once again, and welcome to the Inner Bar,” Akangbe said.
