*Pledges To Bridge Gap Between Academic Training And Legal Practice
Mazi Afam Josiah Osigwe, SAN, a leading candidate for the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) presidency, has released his comprehensive manifesto, outlining his plans to transform the legal profession and prioritize the welfare of young lawyers. Osigwe shared key points from his manifesto through a series of posts on his Twitter handle, emphasizing his commitment to creating a “Proactive Bar.”
Central to Osigwe’s manifesto is his dedication to addressing the critical needs of young legal professionals, ensuring a brighter and more sustainable future for them. He has pledged to advocate for policies that promote fair compensation, benefits, and work-life balance for young lawyers.
Recognizing the challenges faced by young lawyers transitioning from academic training to real-world practice, Osigwe aims to bridge this gap through collaboration with educational institutions and law firms.
