Lagos State University law students have again emerged as winners of the national Moot court competition.

According to a statement obtained from the LASU handle on X on Wednesday.

The team led by David Akinwunmi and had Temidire Adeyemi and Johnson Ogundein, represented LASU with exceptional skill and determination.

The national Moot court competition organised by Olabisi Onabanjo University in honour of Dr. OluSegun Asekun, a distinguished Immigration lawyer based in New York drew attention from esteemed figures including members of the National Assembly and prominent lawyers from Texas and New York.

Expressing gratitude to his faculty and lecturers for their guidance, Akinwunmi highlighted that this victory marks LASULAW’s fifth consecutive win in national competitions.

He praised the competition’s organisation and standards, emphasising how it challenged participants to elevate their skills to new heights.

Recall that in May, the competition organised by the Redeemers University in Osun State attracted participants from universities across the country.

The competition tagged, ‘The Legal and Ethical Implication of Emerging Technology,’ was divided into the essay, asynchronous debate, memorial writing, and mooting stages and comprised multiple rounds, challenging participants’ critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork.

Kodjovi Daniel represented LASU in the essay writing stage. Aina Ayomide and Abdulquadri Ajeniya represented LASU in the debate stage, while Bolajoko Animasaun and Akinrinde Fredrick represented LASU in the final rounds.
