The Federal High Court of Nigeria has issued a public warning regarding a fraudulent contract agreement allegedly involving the “Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security Nigeria” and “Discovery Group Latam DAS.”

The court has clarified that it did not send any email requesting the presence or legal representation of any individual or corporate entity in relation to this purported contract.

According to the court, an email was sent from its official email address to foreign nationals, with the sender impersonating the Chief Registrar of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Sulaiman Amida Hassan Esq. The email asked the prospective contractor, Diego Fraga of Discovery Group Latam SAS, to either come to Nigeria or have their legal representative sign a contract attestation at the Federal High Court in Nigeria.

The Federal High Court of Nigeria has strongly urged the public, both within the country and abroad, to disregard this baseless contract and to report any suspicious activity or questionable communication allegedly from the court to the relevant authorities, including law enforcement agencies or the court’s official contact channels.

The Federal High Court of Nigeria has also warned that individuals who choose to proceed with any interaction or transaction related to this fraudulent contract, despite being alerted to the potential risks, do so entirely at their own discretion and liability.
