Anambra Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has appointed former commissioner in the state, Kate Azuka Omenugha, as acting vice chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University.

The appointment of Omenugha as acting vice chancellor followed the expiration of the tenure of outgoing Vice Chancellor, Greg Nwakoby.
Louis Chukwuemeka Orakwue was also appointed project coordinator, Anambra State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project.
Omenugha is a Professor of Mass Communication at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka and two term commissioner for Basic Education in Anambra State under former governor Willie Obiano and council member of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
