Distinguished Senior Advocate of Nigeria Mazi Afam Osigwe has joined the 5th Annual Criminal Law Review Conference organized by the Rule of Law Development Foundation (ROLDF) in Abuja.

As a speaker and special guest, Osigwe is contributing perspectives on “Revitalizing the Administration of Justice in Nigeria” – the conference’s timely theme.

In his opening ceremony address on Friday, Osigwe applauded ROLDF for spearheading thoughtful discourse on moving Nigeria’s criminal justice system forward. He emphasized the need for collective efforts among legal experts to tackle impediments to equitable and efficient administration of justice nationwide.

“I commend the Rule of Law Development Foundation for convening this solution-oriented conference,” Osigwe said. “As officers in the temple of justice, we must continually refine legal processes to reflect highest principles and benefit all people seeking redress.”

The conference has drawn over 200 leading policymakers, academics and practitioners to discuss holistic justice reform across local, state and federal jurisdictions. Participants will assess progress in harmonizing criminal laws, procedures and sentencing while identifying areas still requiring attention.

Osigwe heads the Nigerian Bar Association’s Section on Public Interest and Development Law and co-chairs the NBA Rule of Law Development Foundation. His presence at the Abuja conference reinforces legal community commitment to strengthening rule of law through continuous systemic improvements.
