According to the United States Open Doors Report, Nigerian students have shown significant growth in the United States, with their numbers increasing by 12.3% to reach 14,438 in the 2021/2022 academic session.

The report also revealed that Nigerian students now constitute 2% of the total international student population in the United States.

While China and India continue to be the largest contributors to the international student population in the U.S., representing 52% of all international students, Nigeria ranks 10th in the global international student ranking.
