Greater Scholars International Nursery & Primary and Secondary Schools has stepped forward to address the ongoing defamatory media campaign and blackmail allegations made against the school by Mr. and Mrs. Olusola over the course of the last four months.

In a press statement released today, the school categorically refuted the allegations leveled by Mr. and Mrs. Olusola, asserting that their claims lack substance and are designed to tarnish the school’s impeccable reputation. The allegations center around an alleged sexual assault on the couple’s four-year-old daughter by a security staff member at the separate Greater Scholars Staff School facility—a distinct entity from Greater Scholars International Nursery & Primary and Secondary Schools.

The accused staff member has strongly denied the allegations, emphasizing that the described incident never transpired. The school places utmost importance on the safety and well-being of its students and is fully cooperating with ongoing legal proceedings. The matter is presently under scrutiny, awaiting guidance from the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

The orchestrated campaign of defamation orchestrated by Mr. and Mrs. Olusola and their associates is evidently an attempt to compromise the esteemed reputation of the school and to unlawfully extort financial gain through intimidation. The school vehemently rebuts these baseless accusations and affirms its steadfast commitment to upholding the highest standards of care and ethical conduct.

It is imperative to clarify that the alleged incident is said to have occurred at the “Staff School” premises—an entirely separate location from the Greater Scholars International Nursery & Primary and Secondary Schools. Despite this unequivocal distinction, Mr. and Mrs. Olusola have consistently propagated misinformation through both social and mainstream media, seemingly aimed at influencing ongoing investigations and molding public opinion.

The school firmly asserts that such deceitful tactics will not coerce any form of settlement. Rape and child defilement are gravely serious offenses, and exploiting these deeply concerning matters for personal gain is an act that deserves strong condemnation. The unfounded claims of Mr. and Mrs. Olusola, coupled with their exploitation of their own child for media purposes, raise grave concerns about the well-being and safety of the child.

In view of these circumstances, the school urgently appeals to law enforcement agencies and the Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) of the Lagos State Ministry of Youth & Social Development to promptly intervene and ensure the security and welfare of the child in question. The school remains steadfast in its commitment to upholding the rights of the child, in line with the stipulations of the Child Rights Law of Lagos State 2015.

The school is in full cooperation with pertinent authorities, including law enforcement agencies and the Lagos State Ministry of Justice, to unveil the truth and expose the motives behind Mr. and Mrs. Olusola’s defamatory campaign.
