The Nasarawa State Judicial Service Commission has made a call for invitation for expression of interest for appointment on Wednesday, 19th July, as a Judge of the Tall Court of Nasarawa State and as a Kadi of the Shariah Court of Appeal within the State’s judiciary.

In the memo which was circulated severely, the extension for appointment as a judge of the State High Court require that interested candidates should have at least ten years post call experience which is in tandem with the provisions of Section 271(3) of the 1999 Constitution and the Revised National Judicial Council Guidelines for Appointment of Judicial Officers.

For application to the office of a Kadi of the Shariah Court of Appeal, the circular demands that such persons should have considerable knowledge in Islamic law or should be an Islamic scholar. In addition, such person should be fluent in Arabic Language as provided  for under section 275(3) of the 1999 Constitution and Rule 4 (4)(e) of the Revised National Judicial Council Guidelines for Appointment of Judicial Officers.

In both circular, it was demanded that candidates should candidate should forward ten copies of the expression of interest; signed curriculum vitae and credentials to the office of the Executive Secretary of the Judicial Service Commission, Permanent Office Complex, which is opposite Dalhatu Araf Specialist  Hospital, Shendam Road, Lafia in Nasarawa State. The application for Kadi of the Shariah Court of Appeal is to be made between 19th July, 2023 to 28th July, 2023 while that of a judge to the State High Court is to be made between 20th July to 31st July.
