*NBA Reacts, Describes Action As ‘Madness’, Says Impunity Must End
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reportedly invaded the home of the Presiding Justice of the Court of Appeal, Kano Division, Justice Ita Mbaba, in what is believed to be an arrest attempt.
However, according to the General Secretary of the Association, Adesina Adegbite, the operatives of the anti-graft agency were unable to gain access to his house as they were only able to enter the compound.
Armed operatives who claimed to be from EFCC invaded the premises of the Presiding Justice of the Court of Appeal, Kano Division in the early hours of this morning. When will this madness stop? We will surely not let this slide. #impunitymustend

This disclosure comes moments after Mr Adegbite earlier tweeted on his official twitter handle @AdeAdegbite6 that the Appeal Court Jurist was arrested in the early hours of today.
According to the tweet sighted by TheNigeriaLawyer, the NBA scribe wrote: “Armed operatives who claimed to be from EFCC invaded the premises of the Presiding Justice of the Court of Appeal, Kano Division in the early hours of this morning. When will this madness stop? We will surely not let this slide. #impunitymustend”
Subsequent to the claim of arrest, Mr Adegbite Adesina in another message made available to TheNigeriaLawyer clarified that though the Justice’s residence was invaded, he was not arrested.
As at the time of filing this report, the EFCC and NBA are yet to officially respond to the development.
