*Accuses Silas Onu Of Parading Himself As Chairman Contrary To Court’s Order

Hon Tochukwu Okorie, the Chairman of the PDP Ebonyi State Chapter has commenced contempt proceedings against Joseph Silas Onu. Joseph Silas Onu, despite the orders of the Court of Appeal, staying the execution of the judgement of the Federal High Court in his favour, has continued to parade himself as the Chairman of the PDP in Ebonyi State.

Hon Tochukwu Okorie vowed, that Joseph Silas Onu, and every individual who have aided him, in the flagrant disobedience of the subsisting orders of the Court of Appeal, must go to prison for contempt of Court.

Hon Tochukwu Okorie, upon the orders of the Court of Appeal, staying the execution of the judgement of the Federal High Court, was immediately recognized by the Peoples Democratic Party, who wrote to INEC, intimating the Commission of its resolve to obey the orders of the Court of Appeal, reinstating Tochukwu Okorie as the Chairman of PDP Ebonyi state.

Despite the letter by PDP recognizing Hon Tochukwu Okorie as its Party Chairman in Ebonyi State, consequent upon the orders of the Court of Appeal, Joseph Silas Onu, in his desperation, have continued in utter disregard to the valid orders of the Court of Appeal, to a parade himself as the Chairman of the PDP Ebonyi State.

The Court documents sighted by TheNigeriaLawyer titled “NOTICE OF CONSEQUENCES OF DISOBEDIENCE TO ORDER OF COURT” issued on Monday, 4th of July, reads:
