The Lagos State High Court in TBS has asked the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 2, Onikan, Bode Adeleke Adeyinka, to appear before it over the review of a judgment affirming the ownership of a land title belonging to Madam Efunroye Tinubu.

Adam Akinfolabi Akindele and Adamakin Investment, who were entrusted with the management of the Estate of Madam Iyalode Efunroye Tinubu, filed a suit.

They are praying the court to determine if the Police in the course of discharging its duties can accept a petition over a court verdict which had exonerated them of any wrongdoing in the management of the Estate.

The petitioner, Adamakin Investment and Works Limited, is asking the court to declare that the police lacked power to review the findings of the court or inquire into the propriety of its decision in the guise of investigation with a view to substituting it with their own view and decision or findings.
