Lehi Attorneys, an innovative law firm in the FCT, partners with the NBA Abuja Branch holds its maiden Nigerian Correctional Service visit tagged Food Drive 1.0. The visit took place on Saturday 13th November 2021 at the NCS Suleja Custodial Centre.

The delegation which constituted of lawyers in the FCT was received by ACC Ali Dayyabu Ali, the representative of head of the custodial centre, CSP Abdulraman Musa. The inmates, totaling over 600 were gifted food items and toiletries.

The leader of the delegation, Babayemi Olaniyan ESQ, LL.M, the Principal Partner of Lehi Attorneys, also paid the fines of 8 inmates who will be released in the coming week.

In collaboration with the Pro Bono Lawyers of the NBA Abuja Branch, the Firm will be taking up the defence of a number of indigent inmates from the custodial centre.

Food packs were subsequently shared to the residents of the Suleja community by the members of the delegation, a gesture that was well appreciated by the recipients.

Bulus Atsen, the Chairman of the NBA Abuja Branch, while commenting on the visit, showered commendations on the partners of Lehi Attorneys and their friends for investing their time and resources in humanity. He noted that this would not be the first time that Lehi Attorneys would intervene when it mattered the most.

Lehi Attorneys is the law firm which in 2020 deployed its ICT resources in re-organising CAC Manifests and making them easily accessible to lawyers and the general public.
