The Nigerian Bar Association, Benin Branch has congratulated the Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki on his re-election in the just concluded polls.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Branch Chairman and Secretary, which was made available to TheNigeriaLawyer (TNL).
Meanwhile, it was noted that the Branch is certain that he would be a Governor for all, irrespective of political affiliations.

CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE
On behalf of the members of the NBA Benin, we wish to congratulate you and your Deputy, Rt. Hon. Philip Shuaibu on your re-election for a second term in office. Your victory at the polls is a trust placed on you by the good people of Edo State.
We are certain that you will be a Governor of all irrespective of political leanings and that you will work assiduously to unite the State in what has been a rancorous campaign.
We also commend the other candidates in the election, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Security Agencies, Observers, especially the NBA Observer Group and most especially the Edo Electorates for defying all doomsday prophecies who predicted bloodshed and other violent acts and for delivering what was a largely violence-free polls.
This largely peaceful process is a testament to the urbane and cosmopolitan disposition of the Edo citizens and we commend them for this.
May we once again wish Your Excellency well and urge you to repay the faith which the electorates have reposed in you.
