Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Prof. Offornze D. Amucheazi has declined the appointment of the Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria (BOSAN) wherein he was appointed as a member of the Audit Committee charged with the responsibility of auditing the National Elections of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) of years 2018 & 2020.

This is contained in a letter dated 9th day of September, 2020 signed by him and addressed to the BOSAN Secretary, Seyi Sowemimo, SAN which was sighted by TheNigeriaLawyer (TNL).

Meanwhile, he noted that he is “not able to accept” the appointment at this time.

“I feel obliged to decline the honour of being a member of the committee, for the reason that, family obligations and other commitments require my attention such that I cannot handle another commitment in addition.” He said.

Therefore, he noted that “with many thanks, return to you, for disposition in some other quarter, the nomination you were good enough to give me, earnestly hoping that success may be secured by the substitution in my place of another candidate.”
