The Young Lawyers Forum of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA-YLF) has issued a notice requesting Young Lawyers who are eligible to benefit from the NBA COVID-19 palliative to do so shortly.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Chairman, Tobi Adebowale which was made available to TheNigeriaLawyer (TNL).

Meanwhile, it was noted that the notice is not applicable to Lawyers who had benefited from the scheme already.

The statement reads:

Dear Colleagues,

All Young Lawyers of 1-4 years’ post-call experience, eligible to receive the NBA Covid-19 palliative, who are yet to fill the relevant Form are advised to do so before 12 noon on Sunday, August 23, 2020.

Kindly note that eligible beneficiaries who have already filled the Form but have not been paid are no longer required to fill the Form. Outstanding payments will be made before August 29, 2020.

All issues relating to incomplete bank account details are being addressed and persons affected will be contacted by an official from the NBA Secretariat, namely Sime David-West.

Please note that only bank account numbers will be requested. No official of the NBA Secretariat will request for personal details such as ATM Card numbers or PIN.
