The Nigerian Bar Association, Abuja Branch (Unity Bar) congratulates Olumide Akpata on his election as the 30th President of the Nigerian Bar Association.

The Branch’s felicitation was communicated in a message dated 1st August, 2020 and signed by the Chairman, Bulus Y. Atsen and Secretary, Eri Ibe.

The message described the landslide victory recorded by the President-elect as the evidence of the collective confidence reposed on him by the majority of the members of the Nigerian Bar Association.

The Branch commended the maturity and candour of all the candidates who participated in the election and called on those who were not elected to avail the Bar of the ideas and programs they had designed and expressed in their manifestos.

The Branch urged all members of the Association to contribute their quota in birthing a responsive NBA.

In the words of the message, “a united and prosperous Bar can only be achieved where all members, either in or out of office, contribute their quota.”
