An Abuja based Lawyer, Sire Asy kobi, Esq., has cried out after he was laid off from his place of work as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.

This is contained in his Facebook post today, which was sighted by TheNigeriaLawyer where he said:
“COVID-19 won. I’ve just been laid off from work.”
TheNigeriaLawyer recalled that sometime in May, 2019, he had earlier shared a post on his Facebook page where he decried as follows:
“This is my life as a young Lawyer! All we are asking for is for our superiors and those at the helm of affairs to accommodate us like We were medical students. (WE DEAL ON HUMAN LIVES TOO)
“I don’t know about the rule of law that provides that young lawyers must suffer before they can stand on their feet’s.
“I know not about the practice where after 7 agonizing years of study, our old guards claim our Bar certificates are not automatic meal tickets.
“I passionately appeal to our old guards to look upon our situation. It is becoming pitiable, unbearable and appalling.
“We are supposed to be the standard upon which all yardsticks are measured. We are acclaimed to be the most learned in all ramifications.
its quite a pity we are learned packaged gentlemen enveloped in poverty.
“All we are asking for is for better incentives and emoluments for law graduates. We deserve better than the worse we are receiving now.”
