The Young Lawyers Forum, Uyo Branch has adopted Mrs Joyce Oduah, FICMC as their sole candidate for the office of General Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association in the forthcoming 2020 National officers’ elections which is coming up in July, 2020.

The adoption was done at a meeting of the Forum held on 17th June, 2020.
The motion was moved by the Chairman of YLF, Uyo Branch, Ifiok Udomah Esq. and it was Seconded by Ndi Aquaisua Esq. without any hesitation.
Udeme Rivers Esq. While praising the Chairman of YLF, Uyo Branch for the motion said that Mrs. Joyce Oduah, FICMC deserves to occupy the office of General Secretary of NBA because of her sterling performance when she occupied the office of National Treasurer of NBA between 2012 – 2014, one of which was the introduction of branch codes.
Bassey Ekpa Esq. in his remarks said that Mrs. Joyce Oduah, FICMC deserves the office of General Secretary of NBA because of her closeness to young lawyers across the country and Maria Akpan Esq. could not hide her joy when she stated that the forum is proud of Mrs. Joyce Oduah, FICMC.
The Vice Chairman of Young Lawyers Forum, Uyo Branch, Ndiana Etuk Esq. Said that a woman with capacity and competence should occupy the office of General Secretary of NBA which has always been occupied by male lawyers.
The Forum adopted this unanimous position as part of the resolutions reached at the meeting by all the members.
