FACTS ONLY • AB Mahmoud, SAN (OON) is one of the few detribalised Nigerians alive. He is a Muslim Fulani man from Kano who is married to a Christian Idoma lady from Benue. They have been together for over three decades now and no person either living or dead can recall AB Mahmoud say or do something wrong to his wife because of her tribe or religion. No-one can recall this because it has never happened. He practices his Islam, she practices her Christianity and they are both happily married together. He is a true Nigerian. • Secondly, AB Mahmoud, SAN (OON) is one of the few SANs that have built their reputations with clean hands: he has never patronised any politician nor participated in any activism of a political party. I think, the English word for it is ‘integrity.’ He has integrity. Even his rivals admit to that. They cannot and no-one can take that away from him.
