The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of about 312,157 candidates who sat for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) last Saturday.

The results of 469, 670 candidates who sat for the examination at Computer Based Test centres (CBT) nationwide yesterday will be ready today, the board said.

JAMB’s Head of Media and Information Dr. Fabian Benjamin, speaking yesterday in Abuja, advised candidates who sat for the examination on Saturday to check their profiles for their results.

He said: “We have released the results of everybody that sat for the examination last Saturday.

“We are processing the results of 469, 670 candidates who sat for the examination on Monday. We are just trying to finish the last session now. So, as soon as they finish, by tomorrow, they should have their results.”

Benjamin said that the board resolved some of the technical challenges encountered during the examination as soon as they were brought to the attention of its officials.

He added that the board was optimistic that the exercise would go smoothly, as it had worked to ensure that this year’s examination process would be one of the best ever conducted in recent times.

The JAMB spokesperson said: “I want to say that the Board is happy with the conduct of the examination on its first day, March 14. This is not to say that we did not register one or two technical hitches.

“There is no way anyone can embark on such massive exercise without few hitches. However, the good thing is that as soon as our attention is drawn to such hitches, we tackle them immediately.

“So, the board is fully on ground to take on these hitches as they come. But in all, I must tell you that we are happy with the conduct of the examination so far.”

Benjamin noted that the board would ensure quality service delivery in a bid to give every deserving candidate an opportunity to excel.
