Your chosen theme for this year’s Law Week and Dinner; ‘Law and security in Nigeria’s Constitutional Democracy: Successes Failures and Challenges’ is very apt and rightly timed in view of the reverberating echoes of Regional/State security outfits and its constitutionality conundrum.

It is my belief that with this carefully chosen theme and your array of seasoned resource persons, this law week will proffer solutions to these raging security cum constitutional democracy questions, and by extension bring on ideas for curbing insecurity in our country Nigeria.

As you brainstorm, I urge you to also proffer ideas for the good of the Bar and the Legal Profession in Nigeria. Let’s join hands to chart a positive future for our dear NBA.
