Some female ex-students of Obafemi Awolowo University, who claimed to have been victimised by Mr Olabisi Olaleye, a lecturer recently alleged of victimisation by a student, Motunrayo Afolayan, during the weekend demanded action from the management of the university.

Afolayan, a 400 level student in the Department of International Relations in the Faculty of Administration of the university had accused Olaleye, a lecturer in the department, of intimidation because she refused sexual advances from him.

An anonymous WhatsApp user, who goes by the appellation ‘Ghost’, sent the link to the group to our correspondent on Saturday evening, and when our correspondent joined the group named ‘Coalition of the Willing’, its membership stood at 228 members.

Many contributors to the discussions in the group, however, expressed fear that the matter might be swept under the carpet.

In some of the earlier messages on the group, screenshots of WhatsApp chats between the embattled lecturer and some students were released by mostly ex-female students of the university.

An anonymous member, apparently an ex-female student of the university, in a comment posted on Friday admitted to have slept with Olaleye several times to avoid having carry-overs.
