The former deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu was attacked in Germany today by some folks at a New Yam Festival event.

The proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra on Saturday said that the former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu escaped being lynched by its members in Nürnberg, Germany.
IPOB shared a video of the moment on its Facebook page, Radio Biafra.
It was reported that Ekweremadu, who represents, Enugu West, in the Senate was at Nürnberg for New Yam festival in the German city.
In a minute video clip made available to TheNigerialawyer (TNL) the angry IPOB members were seen throwing eggs at the lawmaker questioning his traveling to another man’s land despite killings by the Fulani Herdsmen.
The lawmaker who was invited to an event in Germany was heavily accused of conspiring with the Nigerian government on proscribing and killing hundreds of unarmed IPOB family member in Nigeria.
On the scene which was more like a mocking-reception, the angry IPOB members were seen shouting at the lawmaker to leave the venue. He was dragged out of the event, in which he managed to escape.
Radio Biafra wrote, “Senator Ike Ekwere Mmadu escaped being lynched by frustrated IPOB family members in Germany. He was seriously questioned and accused of conspiring with Nigeria government in proscribing and killing of hundreds of unarmed IPOB family members in Nigeria.”
In one of the videos on the Facebook page, Police were called to restore order to the situation.
As of the time of filing this report, there had been no reaction from Ekweremadu’s camp.
