The Past Welfare Secretary of FIDA Anambra, Chinenye Okongwu has said that there are mini Buharis in FIDA National and in the state branches.

She made this statement in reaction to the just-concluded election at FIDA Anambra Branch.

According to her, some members of the branch were disqualified from contesting the election due to fall out with the National.

Below read the full statement

THERE WAS NO ELECTION IN FIDA NIGERIA ANAMBRA STATE BRANCH

The Chairperson FIDA Nigeria Anambra State Branch was running FIDA as her own Personal affairs insisting that the Treasurer and Project Coordinator sign blank cheques in advance for her which led to the resignation of the Project Coordinator.

Some of us complained to the Country Vice President/National President FIDA Nigeria (CVP) who directed that we put our complaints in writing and we complied with the directives of the CVP.

The CVP and her National officers without hearing from the parties involved took a biased decision and instead of bringing the much deserved Peace in FIDA Anambra, raped and murdered Justice.

According to the National Secretary of FIDA Nigeria “These members who wrote petition committed misconduct but we cannot take any decision on our own. We have to summon them to NEC meeting and allow NEC to decide their fate and necessary Sanction. However we, the National Executive have decided that the following members are disqualified from participating in this election”.

Secondly a Contestant for the pist of Chairperson was equally disqualified from contesting because according to the National Secretary “You are not among those that signed this petition but from our previous conversations with you We SUSPECT that you are part of the Petition writers. You are therefore suspended from contesting though you met all the constitutional requirements and are qualified.

The national officers played the script of One of the contestants for the position of Chairperson in their selection process. This is just too bad!

They had it all planned and as such brought armed policemen to give them cover, intimidate and harass us as if we were in a war front yet we claim to be Sisters with a common goal.

The newly selected Chairperson by FIDA National was not qualified according to the Constitution to contest for the position of Chairperson
because she had never held any executive post in the post.

Accprding to the CVP/ National President FIDA Nigeria in her speech “anybody who doesn’t like her decision can leave FIDA, go and join a parallel organization, everybody must not be in FIDA”

Why are we blaming Buhari when we have mini Buharis both at National and State branches of FIDA. No hope for Nigeria. May God help us!!
