The Comptroller General of Immigration, Muhammad Babban Dede has said that within three Months the Service would commenced issuance of Residence Permit to Foreign Nationales living in the Country and anybody who failed to possess his own before the expiration of the stipulated time would be deported.

Speaking while graduating 396 Immigration Officers who undertook the 44th Superintendent Basic Course at Kano Immigration Training School, the Comptroller General, CG Babban Dede said in the face of serious insecurities in the Country the only options left for them is the issuance of Residence Permit for all Foreign Nationals living in the Country.

The CG warned that at the expiration of the stipulated time for every immigrant living in the nation to obtain his permit the Service would not hesitate in deporting him/her out of the country.

He said in the face of global reality coupled with the Insurgency and other serious Security threats Nigeria must take necessary steps in protecting its Sovereignty for the Citizens to go about their lawful businesses peacefully.

The Immigration Boss noted that their service has taken serious steps in ensuring that henceforth Borders are protected and Nigeria will be safer for doing business and encouraged influx of foreign direct investments and professional skills without undermining National Security.

He said they have so far trained 611 Officers in Modern Boarder Management in Kano alone and they are currently training another batch of 1000 Officers.

Similarly the Immigration Comptroller General said the Federal Government has approved the establishment of e-boarder with the upgrade of passenger clearance system, installation of MIDAS, establishment of the border Patrol to FOB and the ongoing Technology Building.

Speaking the Commandant of the Kano Immigration School, CIS RS Adegoke said the School has witnessed unprecedented capacity development of infrastructure and training of Manpower.

He added that they have since re introduced Field-Trip for Cadets in line with the new validated curriculum.
