Speaking in a chat with Daily Independent, Sagay said though the President paid much attention to the fight against corruption and establishing a solid foundation for honesty, integrity, and due process in his first term, he should now focus more of his attention on the issue of restructuring. “It is important for the president to pay much attention to the issue because it is the wish of majority of Nigerians as expressed in the just concluded elections,” he said. Sagay, who said Nigeria’s federalism was too centralised and limiting the development of the country, said there was urgent need for a restructuring of the country without further delay because the present structure was stifling development. “In his first term, restructuring was not something that was of priority to him.
