TNL gathered that due to the establishment of the force, there is the likelihood of increase of Police Checkpoints in the state beginning from Monday, the 29th day of October 2018. “Expect an increase of police checkpoints beginning Monday due to establishment of a Lagos State special task force to ensure vehicles are meeting Lagos roadworthiness standards. “The Task Force (TF) has stated that vehicles not meeting these standards may be impounded. “Drivers are advised to have their paperwork in order. “Diplomatic plated vehicles should not be stopped at these checkpoints, however, please approach the checkpoints in a slow, deliberate manner. According to TF Point of Contacts, guidance is below: Papers Required 1. Insurance papers 2. Vehicle License 3. Road Worthiness 4. Proof of Ownership 5. Valid Driver’s License 6. Tint Permit for cars with tinted glasses 7. Number Plate Registration Papers 8. Central Motor Registry Paper (CMR) Tools 1. Valid Spare tire 2. Caution Sign 3. Jack and Wheel Spanner 4.
