Judges of Federal High Court have been granted a short break to perform their civic duties by voting in the Governorship and House of Assembly elections scheduled to hold this Saturday.

The announcement was contained in a circular dated 15th of March, 2023 from the Chief Judge of the Court, Honourable Justice John T. Tsoho, OFR.

According to the circular, “Your Lordships are by this Circular granted a short break in order to perform your civic duties, during the Governorship and House of Assembly Elections.”

According to the circular, the break will be from Friday, 17th March, 2023 to Monday 20th March, 2023, and all Judges will resume work on Tuesday, 21st March, 2023.

The Honourable the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court also instructed that the Administrative Judges in Abuja, Lagos and Port Harcourt Judicial Divisions will ensure that a Judge is designated to cater for the North, South-West, South-South/South-East Geopolitical areas respectively, regarding urgent matters during the period.
