The friends of Alex Muoka, Esq, have reminded members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) to check and confirm their names on the Interim List of eligible voters for the July, 2020 elections of National Officers of the Association.

In a Notice of Reminder made available to TheNigeriaLawyer (TNL), they said the confirmation is necessary to avoid being disenfranchised.
They urged NBA members to Liase with their local Branch members for the verification.

The Friends of Alex Muoka published a gentle reminder intimating members of the NBA of the need to check their names on the Interim Voters’ List for the 2020 NBA National Officers Elections as released by the ECNBA on Saturday 30th May, 2020.
You may recall that the said List contained some names of eligible voters with inaccurate information, to wit; year of call, email addresses, telephone numbere etc which are important components for online voting.
It is therefore incumbent on you dear Seniors and Colleagues to check through the Interim Voters List and confirm that your names, email addresses, telephone numbers and year of call are correctly stated thereon. If some details are omitted or incorrect, you would need to liaise with your local NBA Branch with a view to making the correct information available to them. If, however, your name is not on the list and you are eligible to vote (having paid your Practising Fee and Branch Due on or before the 31st of March, 2020) please make copies of your Practising Tee Teller and Branch Due Teller/ Receipt available to your local Branch with your full details so that your details can be forwarded to the ECNBA for publication in the Final Voters’ List.
BRANCHES HAVE SET A TARGET FOR MEMBERS WHOSE NAMES APPEARED ON THE LIST WITH MISSING OR INCOMPLETE DETAILS AND FOR THOSE WHOSE NAMES WERE OMITTED ON THE LIST TO SUPPLY THEIR NAMES, YEAR OF CALL, TELEPHONE NUMBERS AND EMAIL ADDRESSES BY CLOSE OF BUSINESS TODAY OR RISK BEING DISENFRANCHISED
WE THEREFORE APPEAL TO YOU TO DO THE NEEDFUL NOW SO YOU WILL NOT BE DISENFRANCHISED
