The Abia State Command of the agency issued this warning on Friday.
The acting Sector Commandant, Abia State Command, Bridget Asiku, who issued the warning, explained that some measures have been put in place to prevent accidents during the festive period.
The FRSC also warned motorists against engaging in careless behaviours that can lead to loss of lives on the road during the season.
Asiku warned against the use of expired or substandard tyres, which she said can cause a vehicle in motion to summersault.
The Deputy Corps Commander, FRSC also listed over speeding alcoholism, overloading, non use of seat belts, making and receiving of phone calls when driving, impatience, and driving at night without light, as factors responsible for road accidents.
The FRSC said personnel have been deployed across strategic roads in Abia State to ensure that they are accident-free during the Yuletide.
