Former National Secretary of the NBA Young Lawyers’ Forum Governing Council (2012–2014) and National 1st Assistant General Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association (2016–2018), Okey Leo Ohagba, Esq., has extended warm congratulations to the latest batch of Nigerian lawyers called to the Bar between July 8 and 10, 2025.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Ohagba described the Call to Bar ceremony as a remarkable milestone in the career journey of the new wigs and encouraged them to embrace the responsibilities and opportunities of the legal profession with diligence and integrity.

“Your respective journeys to career excellence have just begun,” he wrote. “As you learn the ropes, I encourage you to seek mentorship, identify role models, and be mindful of your obligations to contribute meaningfully to the development of the legal profession.”

Ohagba also emphasized the importance of adaptability in today’s high-tech legal landscape, urging the young lawyers to explore global opportunities and carve out unique niches that reflect their individual talents.

He further charged them to remain committed to growth, innovation, and professionalism, noting that the legal profession thrives on excellence, integrity, and continuous learning.

“We believe in your respective potentials and are committed to supporting you every step of the way,” Ohagba assured, adding that the NBA and the larger legal community eagerly look forward to the positive contributions of the new lawyers.

He concluded with a heartfelt welcome:

“Congratulations and welcome to the Bar!”
