Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo has lambasted the Ogbaru Local Government Area Transition Chairman, Mr. Paschal Aniegbunam, over his failure to ensure the construction of a walkway at an ongoing road project in the area.

In a viral video, the governor expressed his displeasure at the road project because the transition chairman did not plan to construct a walkway which would ease the movement of pedestrians along that route after the completion of the project.

As a result, the governor immediately ordered the dismantling of the fence and stores that could obstruct the walkway and instructed the commissioner to find the person who approved the project, saying that the individual would be fired the next day.

He said, “If I come here again and see all this rubbish here, I will sack you. You are incompetent, they began it and you were watching it going on, you did not bring it down.

“This chaos must end. All these shops, all these shanty shops that were attached to the wall, this fence must go back and must have at least one metre where people can work. I am just telling you, pull this thing down tomorrow. By tomorrow, this wall must off, and there must be at least one metre up there.”

“Get me the person who approved it and I will sack that person tomorrow. If any person approves this, that person is leaving my government tomorrow,” the governor added.
