A Former Chairman of the NBA Abuja branch, Desmond Yamah has emphasised that Nigeria’s present generation owes a duty to install responsible and accountable leadership across every strata of our society.
In a message to commemorate this year’s democracy day, Yamah noted that “the key tenets of “Democracy” is Popular participation and Accountability through periodic elections.”
According to him, June 12th 1993 is quite remarkable as it marked the rebirth of democracy in Nigeria.
The statement reads in full:
