Fresh revelations have surfaced, casting doubt on the legitimacy of the ongoing campaign to recall Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, with new information showing that the Kogi Central groups leading the push are unregistered and lack legal recognition.

A letter from the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), dated March 27, 2025, has confirmed that one of the main organizations behind the recall movement, the Kogi Central Political Frontier, does not exist in the Commission’s records. The letter, obtained by our reporter on Thursday, stated that the group is not registered with the CAC and clarified that the Commission does not register political bodies or pressure groups.

“Kindly be informed that the exact name ‘Kogi Central Political Frontier’ is not available on record as an entity registered with the Commission. Further, be guided that the Commission does not register political bodies or pressure groups,” the letter reads.

This revelation raises concerns regarding the legitimacy of the recall campaign against Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, who has faced intense political opposition since her election. The disclosure about the unregistered status of the groups leading the charge casts doubt on the credibility of the recall process and the legal standing of those orchestrating it.

Critics of the recall effort have long accused its promoters of political manipulation and external interference. With this new development, they argue that the campaign may be a façade, manipulated by shadowy figures with no legal basis to challenge the Senator’s mandate.

As the situation develops, political observers are now questioning the integrity of the recall process, and many are calling for a thorough investigation into the groups and individuals involved.
