*Justice Alaba Omolaye-Ajileye To Deliver Keynote Address At Programme

The University of Nigeria Students’ Union Government (SUG), is to hold the Judiciary Day on Friday, 9th June, 2023.

The event is scheduled to take place at the CBN Centre for Economics and Finance, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus.

Retired Judge of Kogi High Court, Hon. Justice Alaba Omolaye-Ajileye is to deliver a Keynote Address at the programme. A statement released by SUG “Chief Judge,” Stanley Obidiegwu, says that, the invitation of the legal icon, is premised on his highly valued expertise on the law of electronic evidence. He is expected to share his insight on the theme of the day: “Digitalization of Justice: The Use of Artificial Intelligence in the Nigerian Justice Sector.”

The programme, according to the organizers, would bring together legal luminaries, leaders of industries and other professionals to discuss different topics that are related to the theme. “There will be a panel of eminent professionals to discuss such topics as: Automaton of Court Processes, Electronic Case Filing System, Court Cases
Management System and Electronic Document Management System, the statement added.

Others areas of interest are: ” Court Proceedings, Audio Visual Recording System, Cause List Display System, AI-based transcription tools in the justice field and the use of AI tools for legal analytics and justice related quality assessments.

“Forensic application of AI in electronic evidence and the use of AI in decision making” will be part of the focus’s according to  the statement.
