Chairman of the Board of Trustees, University of Maiduguri Alumni Association, Chief Joe-Kyari Gadzama, SAN and and some officials – members – of the Association led by the President, Mr. Hamisu Medugu paid a courtesy call on the Vice Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri, Prof. Aliyu Shugaba.

During the said visit, the Learned Silk praised the Prof. Shugaba for his quality leadership at the institution and reiterated that the University of Maiduguri Alumni Association will continuously support the University.

The National Secretary of the Association, Mrs. Afiniki Hananiyah thanked the Vice-Chancellor and the entire management for restoring the academic glory of the University especially as it relates to the empowerment of the female gender.

The Association presented an award of service to the Vice-Chancellor in recognition of his meritorious service to the University.

The Association made a stop at the Faculty of Law of the University amongst others, to observe the level of developmental progress since their graduation from the prestigious University. They were received by the Dean of Law, Prof. B. A. Bukar.

Chief Gadzama and the National Secretary, Mrs Afiniki Hananiya who are both graduates of the said Faculty pledged to galvanize all law alumni as well as their friends and well wishers into contributing collectively and individually towards repositioning the Faculty for greater performance and sustenance of it’s pride of place in the academic community.
