Three students of the Ondo State School of Health Technology, Akure have been arraigned at an Akure Magistrate Court for raping a student of the school.

According to the charge sheet, the three suspects were also accused of raping two other victims within the school vicinity along Oda Road, Akure.

The trio were arraigned on eight count charge, which include robbery, cultism and rape.

The suspects, Damilola Aderoboye, Charles Eyitayo and Blessing Micheal were said to have gang raped a fellow student after she rebuffed advances of one of them some months ago.

Counsel to the first and third defendants, Toye Adeyanju objected to the application that the suspects be remanded in prison custody.

He said they were served notice of the application in the morning, hence the need for adjournment.

Counsel to the second defendant, Banjo Ayenakin also aligned with Adeyanju, stressing that they were served just in the open, instead of the forty-eight hours before the case required by law.

Magistrate Victoria Bob-Manuel adjourned the case to 5th of September for further hearing .

She ordered the three suspects to be remanded in police custody.
