TheNigeriaLawyer happily celebrates and identifies with George Etomi, Esq, and Mike Etomi, MD, on the occasion of their birth. 

The two amazing individuals who continue to positively touch and impact lives. 

The twin brothers, who are natives of Edo State, however, share a relationship with the people of Okrika, their late mother being a member of the community.

The duo are known for helping the Needy and indigents and also for eradicating poverty in the lives of the masses.

George Etomi is a renowned lawyer based in Lagos, Nigeria, and is the founder and principal partner at the law firm of George Etomi & Partners, which he established in 1984. During Mr. Etomi’s over 35 years of active practice, he has gathered a wealth of experience in diverse areas of law and as a result, has contributed immensely to the development of corporate/commercial law practice in Nigeria. His practice areas cuts across commercial transactions in the fields of Energy and Natural Resources Law, Aviation Law, Building and Construction Law, Banking and Finance Law, Arbitration, Telecommunications, Legislative Drafting and Competition Law and policy. But today, he concentrates in Energy and Natural Resources and Aviation Law. Mr. Etomi started his legal career in one of the premier commercial law firms in Nigeria, Chris Ogunbanjo & Co under the mentorship of Chief Ogunbanjo. He attended the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Law in 1976. Thereafter, he was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1977. He obtained his Master’s degree in Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1979 and attended the Chief Executive Programme of the Lagos Business School in 1998.

Mike Etomi, on the other hand is a renowned and accomplished Nephrologist based in the Charlotte, NC, USA, with over twenty-one [21] years experience in the job. Although Dr. Etomi carries on his medical practice with Carolinas Healthcare System, his efficient and commanding understanding of his field [Nephrology] has seen him also engaged with some affiliate hospitals/healthcare centers.  A graduate of Obafemi Awolowo College of Health Sciences, Ogun State University where he bagged his medical degree from, before proceeding to Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he earned his fellowship in Nephrology. He is a Nephrology Specialist at Huntersville, NC, whereas he completed his residency program at Harlem Hospital Center. His certifications include being, Certified in Internal Medicine, as well as Nephrology from the American Board of Internal Medicine. He also has an active medical license in NJ & NC states in the US.
