A legal practitioner, Nnaebuka Nwaeze, has congratulated the Nigerian Bar Association Bwari Branch on the commencement of its 2026 Annual Law Week scheduled to hold from April 24 to 28.

In a goodwill message, Nwaeze commended the branch for adopting the theme, “The Leadership Challenge in Nigeria: The Way Forward, Beyond Rhetoric,” describing it as timely and critical to addressing the nation’s socio-political challenges.

He noted that the theme raises fundamental questions capable of guiding collective efforts toward building a fair, harmonious, and progressive society where individuals have equal opportunities to attain their full potential.

Nwaeze emphasised that the legal profession remains the conscience of society, adding that the Bwari Branch, popularly known as the “Cradle Bar,” has once again demonstrated this role through its choice of theme, which he said has the capacity to refocus attention on the need for selfless leadership and justice for all.

He expressed confidence that the array of seasoned speakers lined up for the event would provide valuable insights and help chart a clear path toward national development.

According to him, such engagements underscore the relevance of the Bar to society and reinforce the need for a well-structured Secretariat capable of ensuring effective delivery of the NBA’s objectives at all levels.

Nwaeze also commended the leadership of the branch, led by Emmanuel Ify Nwude, as well as the Law Week Organising Committee, for what he described as a well-planned and impactful programme.
