Ogun State Civil Service Commission is inviting suitable candidates for recruitment into the State Ministry of Justice for the post of State Counsel, Grade Level 9.

This is contained in a circular issued by the Permanent Secretary, F.O.K Ogunlana on 16th December, 2020.

“The Commission wishes to inform the general public that His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR has approved recruitment of State Counsels into the post of State Counsel GL. 09 in accordance with the provision of Schemes of Service. The sale of Public Service Competitive Entrance Examinations form will commence on Monday 14th December, 2020”.

In addition, it was added that the competitive examination will consist of a ‘qualifying written examination to be conducted by the Public Service Competitive Entrance Examination Board of the Civil Service Commission‘.

Also, there will be a ‘2-day series of extended interview to be conducted by the Public Service Competitive Entrance Selection Team of Assessors’ and a final oral interview before the Civil Service Commission.

Besides, it was made known that the purpose of the written examination is “designed to test the candidates basic knowledge of his/her profession and duties of post desired , comprehension of English Language, ability to think clearly and knowledge of current affairs.

The written examination is said to consist the following papers: Professional Questions, English Language, Basic Statistics & Mathematics, General Knowledge, Logical Thinking and Public Service Rules and Office Practice.

However, a non refundable sum of N10,000 is expected to be paid in order to obtain the examination form.

Also, the written examination is to hold on Thursday, 24th December, 2020 at the Ogun State Staff Development Centre, IBB Boulivard, Opposite GTB, Oke-ilewo Abeokuta.

It is to be noted that only candidates who passed the written examination will be invited for the extended interviews.

The entry requirement is Grade Level 9 with N829, 327.2 per annum and candidates must possess at least, LL.B and B.L certificates.

To apply, candidates are to obtain a teller from Room A261 at the Ogun State Civil Service Commission Block A, 1st Floor, New Secretariat Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, for payment of N10,000 into Government account: GTB, 0032630816 and obtain the syllabus for the examination.

“All completed application forms must be submitted in Room A236 at the Ogun State Civil Service Commission, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta on or before 12:00 noon on Wednesday 23rd December, 2020”.
