Standing Conference Of Mediation Advocates (SCMA) To Induct New Members

The Standing Conference of Mediation Advocates will be inducting it’s new members who have gone through all the required processes and merited the criteria set by the Institution to achieve this great feat.

The event which is to hold online by 11:00 am, WAT, on the 15th of September, will have the founder of Africa’s first Court- connected ADR Centre,  (the Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse) Kehinde Aina, as the Guest of Honour.

Aina, who is also a former Board Member International Mediation Institute (IMI), saw to the replication of the Multi-Door Courthouse system in almost 20 States of the Federation as well as established both the Appeal Court Mediation Centre and the Supreme Court Mediation Centre.

Professor Andrew Goodman, Barrister, Master of the Bench of Inner Temple and International Convener of SCMA will  be speaking on the topic “The Creation And Development Of Mediation Advocacy As A Field Of Professional Endeavor-  A Global Perspective.”

“Members and friends of SCMA all over the world will be in attendance to witness this great occasion,” Prof Andrew added.

According to the facilitator SCMA(Nigeria), Valentino Buoro, 68 Mediation Advocates and Advisors, will be inducted come Wednesday, 15th  September.

Professor. Andrew Goodman has authored and edited about  50 books. Some of his books include: Influencing the Judicial Mind: Effective Written Advocacy, Effective Mediation Advocacy, Mediation Advocacy, The Court Guide and host of others.

Presentation of inductees will be done by Member Advisory Board, SCMA,  Chinwe Odigboegwu(Mrs), while the Convener, SCMA,  Prof. Goodman  will admit the inductees into the Roll of SCMA.

The closing remarks will be done by Adeyemi Akisanya who is a member, SCMA advisory board
