Singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has advised his fans to open bank accounts for him to transfer money to them, as spraying money has now become a crime in the country.

In a viral video, he was seen pleading with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to forgive him for spraying money on his fans on Tuesday, 16th April 2024.

This followed the six-month jail sentence handed to crossdresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, for a Naira mutilation offence.

Speaking in Yoruba during the live chat, Portable said: “I didn’t deface the Naira.

“I help a lot of people; after God, it’s the government. Please forgive me if you have videos of me spraying money. No more spraying of money.

“My fans, if I no longer spray money, after God, it’s the government. No more spraying of money.

”If it’s about money, open bank accounts, and let’s make transfers.”
