The organisers of the Lawyers in Business Mass-Housing and Land-Banking Scheme have announced an extension of the existing 5 per cent Christmas discount on property allocations, following the intervention of senior members of the legal profession.

According to a statement issued on Thursday, the discount, which was initially scheduled to lapse earlier, will now remain in force until March 1, 2026, offering lawyers additional time to take advantage of the incentive.

The organisers also encouraged senior lawyers to utilise the scheme’s flexible payment structure to develop staff quarters for junior colleagues, noting that such support would help ease the financial burden on young lawyers and improve productivity across the profession in 2026.

Under the scheme, subscribers who make a 50 per cent initial deposit can secure a plot of land and are protected from any price increase expected after March 1, 2026. The balance may be paid over a period of up to two years through monthly instalments.

In addition, participants who refer other interested buyers are entitled to a 5 per cent facilitator’s fee, creating an incentive for wider participation within and outside the legal community.

The organisers highlighted the investment potential of the scheme, stating that beneficiaries can generate additional income through rent, leasing, conveyancing services, and short-let or Airbnb apartments, particularly within Abuja.

Inspection and further allocations have been scheduled for Friday, January 9, 2026, between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm, and Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 8:00 am to 12 noon and 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Prospective participants may also book alternative dates and times for inspection.

The initiative is being coordinated by Chief Silas E. Agbara, Esq., Senior Associate at M.I. Dikko SAN & Associates, Secretary of the NBA National Legal Entrepreneurship Committee, and Administrator of the Lawyers in Business Institute.

Interested lawyers and members of the public have been advised to make enquiries or register their interest through the designated contact lines or official communication channels provided by the organisers.  Call/Chat: 08060266163, 090407040950
