Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has arrived in her constituency despite efforts by the Kogi State Government and the Nigeria Police to prevent her homecoming event.

The senator made a bold entrance, flying into her countryside home in Kogi Central via helicopter, bypassing roadblocks and heavy security presence set up to deter her arrival. Upon landing, she proceeded to host a rally on her expansive premises, openly defying the state government’s ban on public gatherings and rallies.

Ahead of her visit, the Kogi State Police Command had issued a security alert, advising Akpoti-Uduaghan to cancel the event, citing concerns over public safety. However, she dismissed these warnings, forging ahead with her plans while her supporters eagerly awaited her arrival.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that individuals believed to be political thugs had positioned themselves along major road access points, seemingly in anticipation of her entry by land.

Despite the tensions surrounding her return, Akpoti-Uduaghan remains resolute, reaffirming her commitment to engaging with her constituents.
