The Senate on Tuesday resolved to carry out a holistic investigation into an alleged plan by the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) to acquire a 9-storey building as its permanent headquarters even as it has another building under construction for the same purpose valued at N8bn.

The resolution followed the adoption of a motion moved by Senator Dino Melaye (APC, Kogi) at plenary.

Consequently, a joint Senate Committee on Public Petitions, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Public Procurement has been mandated to launch an investigation into the allegation and report back in two weeks.
