A Second Republic member of the House of Representatives from Kano State, Dr. Junaid Mohammed is dead.

His brother, Dr Ahmed Salik, a former lecturer with the Bayero University Kano and also a former member of the House of Representatives confirmed his death this evening.
He said the outspoken politician, now in his 70s, died in his home after a short illness.
Late Junaid, a Soviet-trained Medical Doctor died on Thursday evening at his residence in Kano after a protracted illness.
Dr Junaid who is a medical Doctor represented Dala Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives under the platform of people’s redemption party.
The late fearless critic served with defunct oil minerals producing areas commission OMPADEC.
He represented Kano State during President Olusegun Obasanjo’s national political reform conference and Jonathan’s administration 2014 national conference.
