Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has said that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu could present again the three nominees that were rejected by the lawmakers at the final screening on Monday (today).

The Lagos State House of Assembly on Monday confirmed 35 of the 38 nominees who were screened for the posts of commissioners and special advisers sent to it by Sanwo-Olu.

The Assembly also adopted the recommendation of the ad hoc Committee on Screening as the resolution of the House.

The three nominees denied confirmation are: Olanrewaju Sanusi, Mr Obafemi George and Ms Adekemi Ajayi-Bembe.

Obasa noted that the governor could re-present them to the Assembly if he so wished.

The nominees’ rejection and confirmation, as applicable, were done through voice votes, and supervised by the Speaker.

The House laster adjourned plenary until August 27.
