The Rivers State Judicial Service Commission has commenced an exercise to appoint four (4) additional judges of the High Court and one additional Customary Court of Appeal Judge for the Rivers State Judiciary.

This is contained in a letter addressed to the Chairman of NBA Porthacourt dated 18th July, 2019 and signed by Justice A. I. Iyayi-Lamikanra, the Chief Judge and Chairman of State Judicial Service Commission, Rivers State, wherein he asked the NBA Chairman to make the nomination.

“You are hereby requested to nominate a suitable and qualified candidate of Rivers State of origin for consideration for the appointment.

Your nominees may not be more than six for the High Court and Three for the Customary Court of Appeal.”

The curriculum vitae and Photostat copies of credentials of the nominees are to reach the Chief Judge not later than 5th August 2019.
